Cool, cool. And I'm sorry, because I probably should have checked that tag was OK before hitting 'send' - if this does make things awkward, then I'm totally cool with retagging.
To be on the safe side, I think I'll play on Sheldon's general confusion with what's going on in order to make sure he doesn't start shooting his mouth off with knowledge of the Smallville-verse. We'll definitely be safe on details of Smallville canon, because it's been about four years since I've seen any of it.
Re: Tavi - I think Sheldon's more likely to have read Dresden, seeing as it was made into a TV show. Knowing him, I wouldn't rule out that he's read Alera too but I'm going to say he hasn't, because I haven't, and also because his reading matter seems to focus mainly around comic books and science publications. In all of canon, I don't think there's been a single reference to him reading a fictional novel - or at least, none spring to mind. Barring Harry Potter references, but again; movies. SO I think Tavi is safe for canon-puncturing. :)
OK, going to tag now. If he says anything you're not comfortable with, I'll be happy to change it.
